Is massage therapy right for you?

While massage therapy is beneficial for health and healing, it may be best avoided in some circumstances or at certain times. If you are under a physician’s care for a medical condition, are pregnant, have recently suffered a serious injury, or were in a motor vehicle accident within the past three days, please get your doctor’s approval for massage. If you are in your first trimester of pregnancy or have an acute illness (cold, flu, systemic infection, etc.) or a fever, please schedule for a later date.

What to expect

Each session includes a time for us to look at your case, discuss your goals and options, and develop a custom treatment plan to suit your needs.

We offer massage sessions for general wellness and stress reduction, as well as clinical and area-specific treatments.  Hydrotherapy (heat or cold) will be available upon request or per recommendation to increase the therapeutic benefit of your massage treatment.

What to wear

We do not use sheets or draping for our massage therapy treatments, so please wear comfortable clothing. We will work to give you the best treatment for your needs, regardless of your outfit; however, if you intend to focus on a specific area, please plan accordingly (i.e. t-shirts and tank-tops are great for neck and shoulder work, bulky sweaters and jean jackets are not). Tight clothing inhibits lymphatic flow; please do not wear a tight or restrictive shirt/bra for lymphatic drainage treatments.
